Joint venture partners Hammerson and Ballymore have announced they will unveil revised proposals for their long-delayed Bishopsgate Goodsyard redevelopment scheme in Shoreditch at a public consultation next week.

The plans for the scheme around Shoreditch High Street Station have faced opposition from locals since they were submitted to Hackney and Tower Hamlets councils in 2014 with critics continually calling for a reduction in the residential towers heights.

The revised proposals for developing the 10-plus acre site at Goodsyard allow for lower building heights, with “an increased focus on workspace and the creative industries whilst retaining more of the site’s heritage” according to the JV partners.
